While the market in Denver seems to be solid, and everything I find in my research seems to confirm that, I'm unsure of what the rental market is like and for what demographics (family, students, traveling nurses).

Hi all, I want to purchase a duplex to start my travel hacking journey.  

We travel for work and though it would be our “true” home, we wouldn’t be there often.

You could likely mirror the model in other markets that require transient workers such as traveling nurses or those working in the oil and construction fields. 

It just seems hard for these sites to get enough travelers using them, unless you have a property targeting a very niche tenant type that uses a specific website to find housing. 

I live outside of Winnipeg, but would be willing to travel for meetups.

We added value by repainting interior, new floors, new roof, resurfaced the pool, added a fence for privacy, upgraded the landscaping, sealed and painted the exterior, added central A/C with new unit, upgraded the irrigation system, added gutters, added security cameras, added hurricane proof front and rear doors.

(Yes I know there are other restrictions/conditions.)In the past, I have toyed with the idea of a vacation/rental property in Ocean City, MD, Rehoboth/Bethany/Dewy, DE, and/or the Deep Creek Lake, MD area (I like the idea of being within 3 hours of the rental property in case something goes horrible wrong and I need to travel to the property). 

Can you work remotely or your job requires intense travelling.
