(I've been a member since 2003 but have no financial stake in the group.)It's on the website, but if I recall correctly, the first Thursday of the month is a beginner's meeting open to anyone, and the third Thursday is a meeting with specific topics/speakers and is just for members.

Our speakers include real estate lawyers, real estate CPAs, investors from the local market, inspectors, appraisers, real estate agents (me), etc., etc.

This was in an RHA meeting normally a dinner meeting with speakers.

If a statement is objectively not true (false) or the speaker/listener has no reasonable basis to form the opinion => lie. 

However, if we gain some momentum I envision lining up guest speakers from different specialty areas (brokers, lenders, property managers, GCs, developers etc...) 

When you hear a guest speaker with a perspective that hits home with you, get the contact information about the guest (usually in the show notes) and contact them.

Are there speakers or are you solely mingling at your own accord?

I often hear that speakers on the bigger pockets podcast bring on "investors" but rarely do they talk about the structure. 

The speakers and topics are great, but some of the best learning takes place after the meeting at dinner someplace.

I have been the speaker at both the main DIG meeting and the subgroup meetings, it is a large well organized REIA with lots of good content and good contacts.
