Rather, if you are going to succeed in this space, you need to have an idea of what value you bring to others and, when looking for partners, seek out partners that help balance out those values.  

Are you paying more in origination costs in exchange for not having a prepayment penalty?

So, making it clear from the start that you are running a professional rental business goes a long way towards avoiding those who are seeking just the opposite.
