I put up a couple of support beams that weren't really needed but I did it myself with a friend, so wasn't too expensive.  

Most pier and beam foundation homes can be leveled in a couple of days for less than $4,500 and a concrete pier foundation specialist can do the same for a slab on grade with the price getting up to maybe $7,500 depending on the extent of damage and number of piers needed.

The "solution" was to sister the joists with new boards and put in a steel I-beam with jack posts that sit on separately poured footings.

Hi everyone, my property is in NJ and recently received violations for a garage that has 3 beams and three concrete walls.

Nothing really amazing, but here goes:An empty pint bottle of Jim Beam whiskey. 

There was an 8x8 -inch wood center beam and four-inch steel posts or piers for load-bearing support.

It needed the center beam running under the party wall to be replaced and the roof was incorrectly built.
