When people ride ATV's in the desert they kick up a significant amount of asbestos and I don't personally know one person who died from asbestos caused by break pads or desert dust, but I do personally know two children who were handicapped and doctors claim the cause was due to lead.The requirements for removing lead depends heavily on who lives in the house.
