Not sure if my numbers are correct but based on what my city charges for water at 1.8$ per cubic m which is 264 gallons your house is supposedly using 326 gallons per hour 24/7 30 days per month.

Around here the standard (40 gallon, 6 year life) electric cost around $350, the gas around $400.As  previous mentioned, the hardest part is hauling the old one out and sometimes scratching your head hoping the new ones fit in the same space as they are now larger and taller with newly required insulation.

If you are in coal country this makes the possibility a bit higher , sometimes a new shaft will change the ground water flow effecting a well .A friend of mine is in Confluence Pa , his well is 1300 feet deep , and it produces 2 gallons per minute , he has 4 Large pressure tanks to have reserve water .
