With the COVID scare, stock market crashing a bit (for any savvy long term investor, who cares, but regular folk get scared any time they see red), election causing uncertainly, it is inevitable that people will look to sell their extra property, and also likely scare away half the buyers.

I survived the 2008 crash and have seen how bad it gets when prices drop 25%. 

I feel like I should warn you that since the real estate crash ten years ago, the market has run back up to a high valuation.

Not sure where you are capital wise but it's always a good idea to start small to understand the basics of real estate investing and calculating returns etc..But if your adventurous there are weekend crash courses on learning..
