As a side note, we had a hedge fund we work with  that refuses to give anything for work they did “without a permit” and had set up several appointments for code enforcement with him no showing i’ve day and the hedge fund canceling  other.

I think if you talk to a bookkeeper, they will tell you how much it would cost....also, depends if you need to bill your Tenants back for water or not, call utilities companies etc, set up appointments for inspections....there are plenty of things the bookkeeper can do to free your time.

Your tenants should be contributing to everything in a house hack, but you, as the owner and occupant, have a benefit to getting the lowest prices AND splitting those costs with others.I would open a separate thread for house hacking and ask people what they do and don't do with their tenants, and that can help you develop a guidebook that you can refer to.
