Tax breaks encouraged people to move west and colonize the United States and "make use" of land that had been used by Indians for thousands of years.

I am looking in the downtown area as well as east campus and West A neighborhoods, but I am not married to any of these neighborhoods.

No problem getting them financed.I suspect this is a hybrid of Manufactured home and stick built add on .. not sure where that falls. but buy a manufactured or factory built home and affixing it to a permanent  foundation creates a home that is financeable like any other.. at least in all the one's I have done.. and will continue to do in your fair city.Also in Charleston SC were I am quite active there are a lot of factory built homes.. they are different than the west coast trailer style but none the less they are factory built.

Or at least West Palm Beach and Miami that is.

It's on the west side near Harrison and Montana.

I want to sell my commercial rental property in West Los Angeles that has a lot of equity and payoff the mortgages for a number of rental houses that have little equity.  

I currently live downtown Chicago and I'm originally from the west side of Michigan (near Muskegon) so I thought this location may be a good spot to dig into and get my first rental property. 

Are cash flowing deals still available out in the east bay or are you just seeing better deals in the mid-west?
