You can renegotiate the payoff at 30k and make sure that they'll send a letter to you and a copy to your credit company stating that the amount has been pay off.Third option is very rare and probably the last resort.

@Rachel PaytonI never saw a condo tel setup that enabled the property owner to make moneyThe resort management companies that set up condotels, time shares, fractionalized ownership, etc, not only charge top dollar for the property, but add top dollar for management, add numerous garbage fees when you rent yourself or thru the pool, etc.
