I know a lot have been written about Detroit; either on this site or elsewhere…I have read all the posts……..its went through the largest bankruptcy in the recent history; it’s a war zone, population is shrinking, it’s a single product economy-auto…Nothing else works there; it’s a ghetto etc…While I agree with the gurus and RE wiz kids out there regarding above, I have a question?

These shrink perhaps a few millimeters per decade, but if you add up enough decades, that will cause the floors to sag and tilt.

Detroit as a whole will need to shrink it's footprint, and it's going to be a long time before the whole city is realistically functioning but large pockets are improving at an exponential rate.Todays under 40 population is flocking downtown and that trend is going to continue.The building department and courts still have a long way to go.
