There are two ways this proceeds, pleading guilty or going to trial.

It is extrememly rare for someone to get that kind of conviction without other priors and it was probably pleaded down.

The primary ones for our discussion are property rights, innocent until proven guilty, right to free speech, trial by peers, taxation with representation, etc.

They will typically file a formal legal pleading with the Bankruptcy Court, detailing the property, the buyer, sale price, and closing date.
