The bank people are either the least stable or get paid irregular.

Keep in mind those people will live somewhere and SOME of them will be good tenants!

The other thing I have done in the past is held this money in my cash position within my brokerage account with it not invested. 

Having lived there a year it is a foreign country and many things are different and culture etc plus you have the native peoples that own huge amounts of real estate and They dont pay income tax and they get food and gas for way cheaper etc etc..
