You may still be accused of price gouging from nurses and hear we aren't getting covid rates but many of those complaining also haven't followed rental price changes in unfurnished rentals.

Being accused and convicted are not the same.

Meaning when one of us called an Uber or had a friend give us a ride—accusations that we were carrying on illegal activity.

I remember vaguely thinking it was weird that someone would accuse a non-lender of "redlining," since the classic definition is very much a lender-specific thing: drawing lines on maps and not being willing to do mortgages for properties on the "wrong" sides of those lines.

When I saw the OP being accused of being responsible for the shoddy work, I imputed guilt or fault.  

Somebody wanting to sue for you backing out of a bad deal or accusing you of selling them a property with defects like unknown termite damage).

Without making any accusations toward any entity you're dealing with, its easy for a sales person to make optimistic predictions encouraging you to buy when it's not their money at stake.
