No, I think it is their self described "band of scrappy bankers and engineers" actually just trying to create a white label service where the QI has no liability and no effort to expend other than holding the money in some account doing heaven only knows what to make their profit.

If you remove this covered peril, you're removing wind damage coverage to the entire building, and not just the roof.Your assessment of the deductible seems accurate, but I can't speak for the replacement cost of a new roof. 

The window contractor gave a quote of $13K just for the window replacement. 

I've got one in escrow currently for $30,000, buyers won't mind if they are making their desired profit and if they do care they are replaceable.
