Maybe it's the sort of properties I have the luxury of investing in here in the Rust Belt, but it's hard to get over how frequently people buy crap-made crapboxes because the numbers in their spreadsheet look good, trust the maintenance to some schmuck property manager who is willing to pretend to work for peanuts but who doesn't know beans about how houses work, and only find out when the metal meets the meat that they bought a crapbox managed by an incompetent that can't survive something like a major winter event.Like the weather's been highly predictable for the last fifty years and our politicians have routinely demonstrated excellence in disaster prevention and mitigation.I buy old houses up here in Pittsburgh, built during a golden age of pride in building.

For STR, pretend you are going to visit the area next month, go to AirBnB, VRBO and any other platforms that are active in the area and look for a place similar to the one you are looking at buying.

A community that loses it's moral compass is doomed to an ugly community.I presented two alternate solutions in my post.I'd say when people simply pretend to be listening but really are not, it makes it tough to come to a consensus solution.I think attempting to shove the square block through the round circle is a bad strategy.

I did not always feel this way but I learned better.So I would advise all parties to stop pretending justice is blind and to stop looking to the law to save you except as an institution to be manipulated if you have enough money, influence, or votes in your pocket to do it.
