All the bath pipes are in the outside walls and freeze. i am the new landlord.

Have your plumber winterize the home then you won't have to worry about anything freezing.

Just to be on the safe side I would pump pink RV anti-freeze (good to -50) through the rads & lines asap because the winterizing attempts, I've experienced in the past, will NOT be effective at these temps.

It is in the 70's here and the only freeze I can find is the lines in the grocery stores getting ready for the Superbowl:)

A single story 2 BR house took less than 10 minutes.With my luck, pipes freeze when the hardware store is closed. 

Especially as you mentioned your rentals are on Vancouver Island.... we rarely drop below freezing... ( had our first snow fall of the year today, maybe 1/4’inch) 😛Anyways, baseboard gives them control over their own heat.  

Had we done this early last week, there would have been no water in these pipes to freeze and burst.3.

timing market bottoms is a little bit tough.. also keep in mind if the market is troubled.. financing will be also.if your cash your fine.. but if your not and your max leverage u may find the deals hard to put together or they dont work since rates have risen and rents have come down a little in a recession rents will freeze or retract generally speaking
