I met with a mortgage originator at one of the large bank in Minnesota today who told me that a transfer of a property under a LLC would trigger the due at sale/transfer clause.

The original linked property was a great learning point: the agent repeatedly indicated he was unable to get in touch with the owners to consider my offer, which was competitive enough that it should have triggered a counter.

Basically you put your property in a trust (won’t trigger due on sale clause for residential financing) and make the beneficiary of the trust a LLC, which you own.That’s the basics anyways.
