Not really sure where to post this so if someone knows of a better forum let me know.I have a house that has a forth bedroom in the basement with no windows and only one door into it, it looks very much like a bedroom but I know this would not qualify as a bedroom I can advertise and would have to call it a den or something like that.My question is if I added a section door to the laundry area of the basement that leads to the garage would that could as having enough egress to let me count it as a bedroom?

I'm not sure why no one has mentioned this, but under ORS 90, children under the age of 2 ARE NOT allowed to be counted when you are establishing your policy for maximum occupants.You probably know you are permitted (not required) to limit occupancy to no more than two people per bedroom.

The tenant is in the lower paying $800/MTM and it would be nice to count on that initial money but I was hoping for $900/mo.Built in 1926 which is normal for the area.I didn't factor utilities in too heavily because I'm trying to compare it to what I currently pay.
