Hey Aaron,I live in Dallas and it’s definitely doable if you live in one bedroom and rent the others out.

I’m familiar with the city and it can be a challenge for sure, but figuring out the proper structure to get this accomplished is doable - even considering the 180 day timeframe. 

In this market, if a higher Interest rate is doable for you and it means that you get the property you want, by all means go for it!
