Since most houses were built in the 1900s, the cost of maintaining compared to demolishing and rebuilding is quite low.  

Who rebuild the house?

We pay about 750 a year for about 65k property, You are not going to rebuild are you if total loss ? 

Hi,I have a home insurance plan with 'Guaranteed Rebuilding Cost' few months ago I had a water incident and when I filed a claim with the insurance company they did reimburse me for the water damage restoration agency as well as fixing other damages like fixing ceiling and a portion of wooden flooring that was impacted by the water issue. 

You might see a spike in construction costs once the hurricanes leave and people start to rebuild, you'll probably see it in materials and maybe in labor.

I also hear on all sorts of podcasts allusions to the 2008 crises and how the guest of the week "lost it all" and has spent the last decade rebuilding but this is rarely if ever delved into deeply.The question I have been pondering for the last 24 hours is then, if we take it for granted that an economic fall is coming, and that may have some effect on the property markets (prices, rents, etc), what then do we do to protect and position ourselves.  

I'm looking to BRRRR, Air BNB, re-build my portfolio and hit my life goals.

I'm trying to decide whether or not I should hire someone to stain the new deck at my rental property.I recently completed a BRRRR and part of the rehab included completely rebuilding the deck. 

We've been going back and forth trying to decide if we should renovate or rebuild.

I think 6 months would be a better estimate on time for a one man show completely gutting a house to the studs and rebuilding it.
