In situations like this, I would argue that it unfairly punishes you for buying in all cash but generally thats the way it is2 - Some lenders have limits on cash-out proceeds such as something like $500,000 or $1M.

If there were leases in place at anybody point, regardless if a tenant is paying or not, you will need to evict them via an unlawful detainer, unless you find out they were already evicted.It does not sound like a good idea you change locks because that can get you in a lot of trouble.To your success!

(The organization is still around and meets yearly I think - see the PAA website if you own, or plan to own, rental property in Providence.)Many cities and towns have long term financial commitments they will struggle to deliver on more and more, and unfortunately I think a lot of them will look to fix the problem by hitting landlords since the thinking is, well they don't live here so they can't punish us by voting us out of office at the next election :-/

I would absolutely rent to them.I would not punish someone for something that wouldn't have even been a crime in at least 1/2 the other states.
