It saddens me to see millions of people strapped to their jobs, trying to protect their holy grail 401K, until they are 60, and then start taking their "distributions", having a couple of decades left to live.

I have taken many walks by the Falls in the winter and there are very few people around. 

I think people were/are just trying to avoid agreeable gray.

Money now is very good because you are new and ready to do all the work, but the examples you'll hear about are people posting on BP saying, "well, I did all the work and they got a lot or most of the profit." 

This is a self directed RRSP or TFSA account that allows you to lend your money out to people with the backing of their mortgage for a high interest rate. 1st, 2nd, 3rd mortgages, down payments, refinances, flipping or renovation money.

I'm quite new as an investor, but with three books by Biggerpockets authors under my belt and plenty of enthusiasm, I'm ready to keep learning and to connect with like-minded people in my area and beyond.

I'm looking to network with people investing, selling, and rehabbing.  

High property prices mean fewer people can afford to buy, so more people rent.

I think it's fair to say that for some people, reading can essentially be another form of procrastination, just like social media and TV. 

I think others have given you great advice.For most people I say go to some meetup groups for a year.
