@David Rodriguez  MTR is about location for health travelers and you also have a healthy  population of snowbirds in Phoenix. 

@Ella VolneyTypically, you can only find a lender in the country where the property is located and, if you're not a resident there, it will be more difficult if not impossible, depending on the country.When it comes to investors, they need to be open to the idea and then you need to have opportunities that fit within their right risk/return profile.

Oops I didn't follow the lien laws so I'm going to sue for unjust enrichment is not a likely winner.Again, without knowing where this property is located, this whole discussion is kinda pointless.

Probably depends on the location and part of town if neighbors care or notice. 

If you are considering a property in a location you vacation to, you could also look at doing a second home loan.
