That being said, it is not a given it can or will be changed.The local Director of Community Development (typically within the zoning or planning department) should have a good sense of what the Zoning and/or community board/council is seeking, and if they are amenable to a change.  50,000 sf is just larger than an acre.

Not many were even close to code so that was 90% of the problem.Hell my uncle built his beach house in Cairo GA in 4 pieces and hauled it down on his business semi and assembled it in Mexico Beach years ago....it was destroyed but hey it made it years and he wasn’t in the construction business (funeral home director).my parents still live there (was just there for Thanksgiving)they have a 2 story home 1 block from the beach built in the late 60sStill standing, had the windows blown in which caused water damage inside but if the plywood wouldn’t have blown off the windows I think there wouldn’t have been any damage.

If you, or anyone else who is disqualified to your IRA receives any sort of direct or indirect personal benefit from your IRA investment, it would very likely still be seen as a prohibited transaction.

I partnered with a third party inspection and certification company who has been successful in getting building officials to sign off on their processes that combine many IRC requirements and ANSI code.I'm also working with the Tiny Home Industry Association, who is a group of diverse individuals, (https://www.tinyhomeindustryassociation.org/board-of-directors/) working to engage the appropriate regulatory bodies like the IRC, IBC, ANSI, NFPA, etc. to start developing tiny house specific code.
