New mattress and bedframe in master, new couch and loveseat, new flatscreen TV, Wifi, cable subscriptions. 

I'm currently a production assistant working on the TV show Bones and have been working as a PA for a little over 2 years now.I really don't have any sort of background in real estate, but I'm wanting to learn everything I can about it.  

I listened to an interesting audio book in the Rich Dad series authored by a CPA.

Another way to contain risk (if available in your state) is a series LLC.
