If I want to help the homeless I will donate to a charity or volunteer at Habit for Humanity, but I will not alter my business model.If you choose to not rent to illegals based on moral beliefs then that perfectly fine and that is your choice.

Your point about open-ended exposure is a good one - didn't think about.My gnawing observation is that I have a product (housing) that some people are simply getting squeezed out of - they CAN'T get it, even from charities I might financially donate to because there simply isn't enough supply in the right areas.

Off topic- Food is rarely thrown out because of government regulations; it's up to the stores to set those standards, and it often involves extra cost to them to donate the food so they throw it away.
