For me personally it is 3 minutes to Red Rocks Open Space, 5 minutes to Garden of the Gods, walking distance to Bear Creek Park, and 15 minutes to all the other major trails.

This scenerio is only ideal if you are already friends with the renter though.I was surpised at how much we actually enjoy having a friend living in our garden apartment.

I took them to Home Depot to compare them to what they may have available (nothing), and I left them in the shopping cart - they are gone.I can't figure put what brand the stove is.

It may be worth it to just block off access for one unit, or split it awkwardly and have it primarily as a "dog run" or garden type area than a true backyard for either tenant, but definitely do away with the common space as soon as finances allow.

I pay the contractor or subcontractor based on jobs completed (typically in three draws), and I make sure the materials are chosen by me or by a designer (low cost) if high end.Once everything has been detailed, I send the contractor to home depot to pick up the materials as needed (home depot usually calls for my credit card when the contractor is checking out) and the billing for materials is handled through my home depot card.
