I think the wounds from 2008 are still fresh enough that it is all a lot of people remember.    

I am a disabled Veteran (wounded in Iraq); I am tired of struggling to cover their needs and choosing what to sacrifice to do so.

Hopefully, this year will be better.I have one more rental property that is actually doing well...Whew.I took some time off last year to re-group, re-learn, lick my wounds a bit and figure out what I'm doing wrong.

The property did bring more than I was willing to give, but I could have wound up with a house without clean title.  

I bought the property at the height of the market to fix& flip and wound up becoming a landlord.

The guy comes here with good intentions, nothing less... and you guys with "wounded ego's" from some self-imposed mental story, saturated with insecurity, go into "attack mode."

Also, I wound up on a marginal block. 

Through continuing to hang out with him and his very laid back personality, it's helped me realize that I was entirely way too tightly-wound and that getting my drawers in a bunch every time I can't change something is a waste of time!

Sometimes investors also get a real estate agent license because that gives them access to the MLS and lets them collect part of the commission on their purchases and sales.Having a tenant that doesn't pay for three months is a self inflicted wound.

I was wound tighter than a violin walking into the courthouse; I'm surprised the officers at the entrance didn't frisk me!
