Between the two of us and some wedding gifts we have about 35,000$ (maybe a few thousand more for the right opportunity) that we've saved up and we want to put that money to work for us--we want to start investing in real estate.

I plan on getting married next year and my fiance and I will be personally paying for the wedding so it would be difficult to buy a home at the same time.

I have the same goal of buying and renting a mountain home of my own down the line. with VRBO and airbnb you can't go wrong. a couple of my friends just rented an airbnb for a wedding in north carolina mountains. cost $500 for 2 days.

We have a networking coffee every weds at 7:30am

I'm 31, have two kids, three step kids, a house with about 60k in equity, a costly divorce behind me, a super cheap beach wedding ahead of me, and still make sure that every single financial decision is thoroughly planned.

She sees me reading RE books and reading BP posts and forums every day, doing the webinars on Wed's and showing her analysis for the kind of deals I'm looking for.
