It'll be nice to be able to take the next few months and look into what it takes to do a successful house hack and maybe even take time to hone your renovation skills by volunteering for a nonprofit like Habitat for Humanity or working on a friends' project.

It got expensive, so finally the HOA dropped the PM, hired it's own cleaning crew, resident volunteers to change light bulbs etc.

I don't like to volunteer anything, but if asked, I will usually answer openly.What I find awkward is that when people hear you invest in real estate, they'll usually ask how many properties do you have. 

Please keep in mind that Board Members are volunteers and that rarely will have the time to deal with everything daily.
