At the risk of being proven wrong, I find it hard to believe that the Department of Homeland Security is involved in investing a failed real estate investment. 

(Only if you are SERIOUS about real estate as your wealth/career vehicle.)Make sure you join a brokerage that is large, established, and has a reputation for top performance and excellent training.Once you learn the basics and get out into the field to see the state of the market, you'll learn the price points and be able to know a good/great deal when you stumble across it.I have made some of my best (most lucrative) buys from meeting with a seller who wants to list, and when we discussed the price, I knew it fit my parameters, so I bought it! 

I can now wait for a home(s) that meet my criteria to come onto the market or I was thinking of buying land and building new.Does anyone have experience with Eagle Rock Resort? 

Meet with brokers and other professionals in different asset classes.

This includes meeting with the city, engineering, conducting required studies, plat maps, etc.

What you can also do is attend local or long-distance meetings and meet with people who are landlords in NYC. 

If the property is in an LLC I look up that LLC in the Department of State website which has a service address.

They have seem my flips and know my business in some ways and are now starting to get more and more interested.Our 2025 plan, for the first time, is to have two family meetings a year where I go through all of our real estate, stocks, cash, and any other assets and explain to them how each one makes money.

You might be able to find a local lender near you and meet them in person as well.
