Make sure you don't block any soffit vents with insulation as this will cause the attic to not work properly.

Just like many areas I understand this can change from block to block, however I would like to narrow down my search to B/B- class neighborhoods, with a max price of 50K.  

Hard to believe, but these two properties are identical in size and are probably only 6 blocks away from each other, so market value on them can change pretty drastically within a few blocks. 

But we often buy houses that have been sitting empty for some time and have plumbing lines that have become blocked with tree roots and debris. 

There is a giant goose egg along Milwaukee from about California Blue Line to Central Park and Milwaukee and four or five blocks out from Milwaukee where there isn't a single SFH or MF listing and hasn't been for months.

Anyway, I'm just checking the other houses in the area to see how much they've sold for and low and behold the city owns 9 of the 14 houses and 2 empty lots in one block!  

Thanks BP I am truly grateful.How does one go about blocking someone if you do not want to expose yourself to anything they have to offer?

I would now like to seek some professional guidance from an architect, residential construction contractor, etc. to first gauge whether or not my vision is possible, potential road-blocks, and alternative development ideas.
