The English was ridiculously bad and the lease appeared to be from the UK.....in spite of that the two people that approached me said they almost fell for it. 

I don't expect that to happen anytime soon but if you want to not gamble, cash flow is a good option.If you are looking for an off market property you can contact several wholesalers and let them know what you are looking for OR (my fav) go driving for dollars in the neighborhood you are looking at.

Like in gambling, the house always wins over time. 

It hasn´t even had a big impact on the UK market to be honest, although that could change as Britain gets closer to the actual exit. 

I am looking to refinance a SFH I have rented out in UK and use the money to invest in a multi unit in the US.

Put your money in many other investment options with less of a gamble.

Are you willing to gamble on that in the future?

I know some inside ppl working there so I guess I could start there I also thought about buying property to lease to cell towers but I believe that’s a bigger gamble
