Here in Austin I'd say almost half of all my active buyers live in California and are just looking to diversify their portfolios with real estate.I also have a few clients looking to move from the coasts to austin due to the lower cost of living combined with still having a decent tech and culture scene.

NYC will always be a hub of international culture, business, and night life.

The training is second to none, so you would learn very quickly and it's an amazing culture.

Primarily, I'd just like to know what is the area like and what the trend\culture is looking like.

Austin's culture and climate are really biased toward growing more out of profits and conservatism, which I would also argue are more founder friendly for slicing the pie.
