Operating Expenses seem to be a big shade of gray for investors.

On the other hand, you have units that are on the side, always in the shade, facing the parking, etc.

(lots of factors insulation and shade around house window type, ect).

Pick a couple colors (two colors from the same color sample stick is a good tactic; make sure they're at least two shades apart from each other) for the walls and USE FLAT paint on the walls.

Sometimes developers just hit a home run with the look and feel with build out of a community.I can't stand the cookie cutter box subdivisions without personality and you roast to death because the builder is to cheap to put in mature trees for shading.

In addition to the BP podcast, I also like Justin William's House Flipping HQ (he's all about systems and scaling and goes into details with his guests) & the Real Estate Guys (more macro and across different disciplines of investing).On the non-REI side, I loved Serial (can't WAIT for season 2), Sword & Scale, How Stuff Works (learn SOOO much), Throwing Shade (so funny), some NPR and running podcasts (to stay motivated and keep learning!). 

You could have every window end up a different blind/shade/curtain. 

I don’t do an accent colour below the rail, but if you do remember the rule about colours getting lighter as they go up... ie: use a darker shade below the rail.

Instead I would probably go with a darker taupe/warm gray on the trim, including around the garage doors.
