We just put down an offer on a smaller franchise-flagged hotel in Southern Illinois.If all goes well, in 3 months from now I will be a hotel owner-operator, and 6 months from then I can sell my house and cash out the ~90k in equity to put down on a professionally-managed hotel.

BRRRR means that the profit is there both to be had in equity gain in the renovation, and also on the rent side. 

I'm almost finished and will come out with ~$100k in equity to play with.

I'm personally looking for fixer uppers that I can rehab and have built in equity into.

I have 90k+ in equity in the home and have been approved for a 70k HELOC to use on the next deal!

Depending on your area- its likely your home will appreciate in equity over the years and if you can cash flow the property with professional property management- this is highly recommended.
