Since it's your first investment property, it can be a double edged sword since yes a PM can help you and be an expert voice but but if you don't know what you need or your management style yet, it might also not benefit you.Honestly, I'd try managing on your own for a while, and look up property managers in the area while you're at it.

Which if youve done flips , but not commerical multi before, you wont miss much,  however a 6 fam is a commerical code permit so there are slight variations between the residential code for essentially all trades which if you dont have a detailed plan and you dont double check every code before you do anything but rely on cheap labor to do your due diliegence for you, what could go wrong ?

I dont have regrets just did not care for STR  business personally. so we sold.But we have Mid term fully furnished rentals and I really like that one.. start off as a few months and end up staying a year or more and at close to double the rate and A class tennants..
