I don't think I could make a hotel fit my model.I only want a vacation rental where people want to stay with their family on vacation. 

The girl next to me had to move into a hotel. 

I have several people a month say that they will never stay in a hotel again.

My wife is super talented at decorating and turned it into a country farmhouse interior.

Hotel stays, Airline points, timeshare weeks, wine baskets, gift baskets, flowers, etc.

Note: I LOVE rewards programs- I pay for everything with my personal credit cards to gain rewards, and I consequently, I haven't paid a dime for airfare, hotels, or car rentals while vacationing in 5 years because of it.Thank you for your thoughts!

What credit cards are you using to accumulate points for flights and hotels?

When you raise the rents be sure to tell the tenants that the reason for the increased rent is the tax bill so maybe they will vote more often to cut out the city excess crap like the hotels for the homeless. 

There's a LOT of traffic goes through the Charleston area and most people would prefer an Air BnB type of rental over a hotel.
