The ones I have in my multi-family units are always the ones that go above and beyond taking care of the property doing things like picking up trash, raking leaves, pulling weeds, and planting flowers.

They also get other gifts from time to time, such as: house plant, flower basket, flower bowl, bedding plant, door mat, fireplace log, professional carpet cleaning of traffic areas (for long term tenants every 5 years).We do not do rent concessions.

There was courtyard patio in the center of the building, and tenants could request to have planters assigned to them, so they could plant veggies or flowers, etc. 

If you leave them in the ground, consider creating a flower bed around them.

@Tijana Flowers-Harris this is certainly a question for your accountant/CPA, but to my knowledge there are no special tax implications for you when you buy or while you own the property.However when you go to sell, if you aren't a resident of RI you may face non-resident withholding of part of the sale proceeds (see Withholding on Sale of Real Property by Nonresidents and/or the non-resident withholding law itself).Also, you should be aware that apart from tax considerations there may be legal considerations for owning property in RI if you live in Mass.For example, you may also need to register as an out of state landlord with the RI secretary of state and possibly the city of Pawtucket as well.So you'd want to ask your attorney about those and any other one-time and ongoing requirements for owning property in RI if you live out of state.

You will get Granny and Pappys flower shop types as tenants.Make sure the building you buy can be used in various ways.

Thy put some flowers outside and a nice door mat or a "Home" sign with a pumpkin... you get the idea.

If you can find one, definitely, but don't refi your great cash-flower for something only mediocre or minimal.
