As with any profession, dishonest people give a bad name to those of us making an honest living.  

Like any other profession, RE has its share of crooks and dishonest people as well.

This does two things: 1) for the sellers, it is telling them that a COMPANY will be buying their house, not some unknown individual who might do something dishonest and then disappear.

You can get in a lot of legal trouble doing that and it's just a really poor idea for many reasons besides being dishonest and unethical.I think Joshua Dorkin would not have condoned that part of the conversation if he was hosting.That said, I have a new vacation rental myself and learned a lot.

Most professionals, from attorneys all the way down to rehabbers and PM's, are fundamentally lazy and dishonest.

Not that I am going to be dishonest either.

That is fine but I think it is dishonest to leave that detail out of all of his own content.

You can see the incentive for a dishonest business person to mislead a customer.  

A renter who is coming up on the end of a lease and desperately trying to find a new place may not have any qualms about being dishonest when answering your screening questions.

A bit dishonest but it doesn't feel as bad, and you get to defray some of your costs.
