We've tried it many times in the past and it typically ended in a disaster unless it is a one-off situation where the "rental landlord" lives in the community and is a stakeholder there and buys just one or two houses for that use.

For bylaws, sometimes you dont get them until you make an offer and your offer is contingent on reviewing the condos docs and allows you to get out of the contract if you dont approve after reviewing the bylaws and financials... financial stability is more nuanced, and you might not get those until you are under contract, but you can ask general questions to stakeholders like the management company to see if they are stable and have no problems paying bills.P.S. expect your closing costs to be a bit higher than 1.5k due to loan fees and other costs that lender might add for it being a sub 80k loan... they don't generally like lending less than 100k
