Just wanted to introduce myself and enjoying the Bigger Pockets site and forums.

I found what seemed to be a great property with a house for an STR and other space that I could expand for camping/RV sites and a barn that could be converted into a venue for events. 

As for numbers, I currently owe $86,151 on the mortgage, and on Zillow it is listed at $143,600 but the numbers seem to be inflated on that site.  

I've still never owned a single family rental property or collected a rent check, but I hope that jumping into development will create opportunities for others to own their own homes and rentals that will serve families for generations.If you want to follow along for more of the journey let's connect.

Basically, these are lands that technically qualify as Sending sites, but that have issues such that nobody really wants to build there.

I used a LOC to build a 12 site RV park in a small town, opened it up and 1.5 mnths later, I'm full occupancy and servicing the debt (some of it at 8.75%) & cash flowing.

See what the $19k was for first, it may have been neccessary, but still that does not make it ok for them to do it without a signed CO.You can ask an attorney a few questions using sites like Avvo or Rocket for not much $$$.
