I have seen quite a few homes where the iron is in the ground water , the people have to monthly clean the sump pit with a garden hose .

I’ve been told by a tenant that everyone uses the water hose to fill up portable pools,wash their vehicles,spray the sidewalk and driveway.When my lease clearly states NO CAR WASHING on property.

And once you “move out” you no longer qualify for residential loan rates so you’re hosed if you are trying to refi or drop PMI.Better option is probably to FHA, refi it to conventional residential rate, then FHA into your next.

For a well failure we were able to tie in to a neighbors supply with a hose, bulk water delivery is also possible in some areas but your problem being the piping neither of those options may be a solution.

For the dehumidifer in the basement , they have a tank on the bottom and you can attach a hose to drain .

I can run a vacuum attachment over them and it cleans dust right off...if they really get gross you can pop the whole blind out of the holders and hose it off outside, lol.

I also don't want to have to maintain a mower, edger, hoses, and other equipment or figure out where to store it.
