25 January 2024 | 52 replies
@James Carlson You probably already know my thoughts on STRs vis a vis 'affordable housing' :-)But this is going to play out as it will, and ultimately even Gov't intervention/restriction will fall to the power of the free market, so we'll see how it goes.I wish the property owners and entrepreneurs well, although some of them will learn that 'elections have consequences' as 44 so famously said.

Living in Switzerland / Investing in Greece

This seems to be for a few reasons:- Increased rates- Golden visas in Greece - Continuously increasing popularity of short term investingMany people instead are purchasing properties with cash and are receiving 4-5% returns, however, that's something that I'm not interested in and doesn't allow scaling. At that point, I've concluded that the two most profitable options would be house flipping and short term investing, as you very well suggested. That said, I'd like to ask you two questions please:- At the moment, what is the gross margin in a good area in the US?
