I also work in an industry that is attached heavily to the stock market, so this year could be a bit of a roller coaster.

Considering how crazy and unpredictable the stock market has been the last couple of weeks with the recent correction and subsequent roller coaster ride we are happy to be able to provide a more stable vehicle for our investors to grow their money while also continuing to add to our portfolio and grow ourselves as investors.

Then I started gobbling up the podcasts, joined a networking group, and it's been a roller coaster ever since :) Always happy to chat more!

The obvious caveats go with this: O&G can be a wild roller coaster ride, so make sure whatever property you look at can be cash-flow positive during the downturns.

You don't like to see wild swings as that means you are in for one heck of a roller coaster ride! 

There are several members on this forum that are in a similar situation (West coasters investing out East - FL, OH, PA, etc).

I've been away from real estate for 3 or 4 years since experiencing the roller coaster ride of a lifetime in real estate in Phoenix, Arizona, formerly (and hopefully again soon) a hotbed of real estate investment activity.I have over 30 years in real estate including brokerage, leasing, property management and ownership.
