I do not own any homes yet but want to buy a MF home where I can live in one unit.Doing a search on Trulia, Zillow, MLS, Realtor is not giving me much, so am wondering whether I am barking up the wrong tree for this market.I would love to hear from experienced investors in these areas what would be the best strategy for this area.

If it's not suitable for a lawn, consider cedar bark chips (the type they use in playgrounds).

Fortunately, I haven't had to deal with crying babies or barking dogs (except in my own house...).

Other tenants would have vicious barking dogs at the door, and might tell me over the insane barking that it was “a bad time to talk” and could I come back in a couple of days.

I know it's not the same as actually owning real estate and your return will be a little lower, but you also avoid all the negatives like clogged toilets at 11pm or evictions or abandoned property or barking dogs.

Spend a couple hundred dollars on bark, lay that on the flat areas with a weed mat and plant wild flowers on the hill, making it more easy on the eyes.B.

Discomfort that improves the living condition and property (repairs/maintenance) is different from discomfort that interferes with the peaceful enjoyment of one's living environment (constantly barking dogs).

Trying to wholesale mls properties is barking up the wrong tree, for multiple reasons.

I will add that it seems like HCD is all bark and no bite.
