My cost for many of my properties to add a 240V outlet would be pretty low.The main lease specifies that no alterations to the home can be made by the Tenant without permission of the Landlord, so this definitely covers electrical modifications. 

I thought I read somewhere about adding a clause that the seller will not extend, modify or otherwise alter the existing leases in any way ( I can't remember where I read this). 

Zoning should not be too much of an issues, but uses may alter parking requirements. 

More like how long until people start inferring this will radically alter anything/everything.....

I would alter the listing to showcase the experience you are offering larger family groups and retreats.

I still enjoy the foods I want, I just alter the ingredients I use to make them.

By the way OOS is full of additional risks and the cash flow on small unit count will likely never reach life altering for someone living in San Diego.
