That’s the best bet.

The strategy I'm following for my first house hack is to acquire a multifamily property (duplex, triplex, quadplex) or SFH w/ an ADU (or potential for an ADU) as I am mainly looking to simultaneously acquire my first property and subsidize my mortgage payment.

The process takes about the same amount of time since an appraisal and title work is generally still required before underwriting and funding the deal. 

For S's and G's, below is the most expensive SFH on the market in Tokyo right now, followed by one of the least expense:https://www.homes.co.jp/kodate...https://www.homes.co.jp/kodate...The condo market is probably more active than the SFH market, but I don't have much insight there.  

We now have 400 hours in the bag, and hitting 500 is attainable during your first year.But what if you only spent 2 days visiting this property and from that point on outsourced all work?
