I am looking to change my accountant and I am looking for any reference for a CPA that understands real estate well, and also how to work on expat taxes (I am based in Tokyo).

All I have to show for that investment is occasional emails in Japanese from a Tokyo bankrupcty court.I'd also like to warn anyone running around with money burning holes in their pocket to be very skeptical of "initial coin offerings"..  

@Jeff Cagle interesting to hear that there’s no state income tax in TX....currently, I’m living in Tokyo, but  I’m actively searching for investment properties.

Could some of these be converted to living space, al la Tokyo (tall, small square footage living spaces).

I saw places for rent in Roppongi, Japan (Beverly Hills of Tokyo) for $22,000 a month, when I lived over there several years ago!!!
